Pipeline network

The Vilnius heating network forms a large interconnected system; all the boiler plants are connected together, which affords highly versatile operation. The network measures 500 km in all, and carries pressurized water at a temperature of 70 to 120 °C. Renovation by Vilniaus Energija is proceeding at a rate of 15 km per year.
