Individualization

Many customers prefer direct control over their heating expenses, which was impossible with the previous boilerine substations. Individualized thermostat and consumption metering systems are being introduced gradually, dependent on unanimous agreement of all the co-owners of a building.

A special energy saving fund set up by Vilniaus Energija with backing from the World Bank bears 75% of the expense of this programme (or 100% for low-income households).
